BINfluencer “Know Where It Goes Challenge” (America Recycles Day 2025)
1. Sponsor
The “Know Where It Goes Challenge” (“Contest”) is sponsored by Millennium Recycling, Inc. in partnership with BINfluencer, Sioux Falls, South Dakota (collectively, “Sponsor”). This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, TikTok, Meta, or any other platform.
2. Eligibility
Open to participants ages 14 and older who live within Millennium Recycling’s service area. For a full list of communities and counties, visit: millenniumrecycling.com/communityprograms/residential
Participants under the age of 18 must have parent/guardian consent. Void where prohibited.
3. How to Enter
- Create an original 10–30 second vertical (9:16) video showing how you recycle right, share a recycling tip or myth— and include BINfluencer somewhere in your video (mention the name, show the app, or display the logo).
- Ensure good lighting, clear audio, and no logos or trademarks you do not own. Do not include dangerous stunts or record in restricted areas. Filming at schools is allowed only with permission.
- Use original or royalty-free music. Some commercial tracks may be muted when shared from business accounts.
- Upload your video file (MP4 or MOV, ≤ 100 MB) via the online entry form at thebinfluencers.org.
- Optional: You may also post your video on TikTok or Instagram and tag @BINfluencer and @SFRecycling so Sponsor can see and share it.
- Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. CT on November 15, 2025.
- No purchase necessary. Limit one entry per person.
- Downloading or using the BINfluencer app is not required to enter or win, but entries must include a reference to BINfluencer (for example, by mentioning the app or showing the logo).
4. Judging & Winner Selection
Eligible videos will be judged by representatives of Millennium Recycling/BINfluencer on:
- Creativity (40%)
- Recycling accuracy & message clarity (40%)
- Presentation quality (20%)
In the event of a tie, the higher “Accuracy” score will prevail; if still tied, “Creativity” will decide.
Decisions of the judges are final. One (1) winner will be selected the week of November 20, 2025 and notified by email.
5. Prize
Two (2) winners will each receive a $250 Visa gift card.
If the winner is under the age of 18, the prize will be awarded with parent/guardian permission.
Prizes under $600 are not subject to IRS Form 1099 reporting. Winner is responsible for any applicable taxes. Prize is non-transferable and no substitution is permitted.
6. Rights to Content
By submitting a video, you grant Millennium Recycling and BINfluencer a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, edit, adapt, publish, display, and distribute your video (in whole or in part) in any media, including social media, websites, and educational materials, without further compensation.
You retain ownership of your work.
You may also share your video on your own channels; if you do, please tag @BINfluencer and @SFRecycling.
7. Privacy & Data Use
Sponsor collects only the information necessary to administer the Contest (name, email, city/community, and for high school entrants, parent/guardian contact). Entries and data may be archived for up to 24 months for reporting and educational purposes. Personal information will not be sold or shared with third parties.
8. General Conditions
Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entry that is incomplete, illegible, inappropriate, or in violation of these rules. Sponsor is not responsible for technical failures or upload errors. By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, its employees, partners, and agents from any liability arising out of participation or use of the prize.
9. Winner List / Contact
The winner will be announced on BINfluencer and Millennium Recycling social media the week of November 20, 2025.
